Our Story
From Infrastructure Engineer to Frontier AI Researcher! After an incredible 25 years managing a whopping $74M in infrastructure projects for PANYNJ, MTA, and DSNY, I discovered a common challenge: NYC's Local Law 87/97 calls for energy audits in over 50,000 buildings every decade. With a manual capacity of just 500 buildings a year and a regulatory for 5,000, we faced a monumental challenge! Existing solutions fell short, but six months into 72Energy, I embraced the challenge head-on. I rebuilt the machine learning stack from the ground up, investing over $500K and two years of groundbreaking research, leading to five revolutionary breakthroughs!
